Car Show

I went to the Minneapolis car show a few years back and i have decided that a hummer would be fun to have.  it was this huge beast of a vehicle on the inside and looks like you could just take a lovely cross country trip and hunker down in it each night.  its so wide!

i also found lots of cars with GPS in them and decided that should be standard on all cars… especially for me.  i have found recently that if it is cloudy and i am in an unfamiliar city, i have NO idea which way im turned if the sun isnt shining and i dont have that little directional thing above my head by the light like in my truck.

i want a gps so badly and i want one with a british accent…. but i cant figure out why they are british accented.  have you ever noticed that a lot of atm machines automated voices have a british accent?  is that just because a brithish accent makes it soothing to take out money or take a right on Nathan Lane?

Cooking

I Do Not belong in the Kitchen!  Anything to do with me and the oven, it’s all bad news!!! I once blew up a batch of cookies, cooked a chicken for an hour before realizing I needed to turn the oven on, boiled over milk onto the stove top ( it smelt like burnt milk for a week), and burnt buns so bad they crumpled into little black dust when I tryed to take them out of the pan! I’m sure there are many more horror stories of my cooking!

For Christmas this year my aunt gave me an easy as 123 cookbook; it was for a joke of course but I love it!! It is just my kind of cookbook! The recipe for penut butter cookies is- sugar, penut butter, egg- that’s it!! So easy and yet surprisingly good! They have all sorts of easy things to do( that I can even manage not to screw up) I did tacos, pasta with shrimp and peppers ( the peppers got a little black, but oh well), chicken and rice! I’m on a roll!

So if there are any other non-kitchen goerss out there; you should check out the easy as 123 cookbook! It is seriously as easy as 123!

CiCi’s Pizza

CiCi’s pizza used to be a thing of the south.  My first CiCi’s experience was when I lived in Texas for 3 months doing an internship.  It was a glorious experience, all you can eat pizza for $6 - you can’t go wrong.  We couldn’t figure out why CiCi’s didn’t exist up north yet, college students would kill for that kind of restaurant.  FastForward a few years, Minnesota FINALLY got a CiCi’s pizza - we have two infact. One in plymouth and one in Eagan.  Tonight a few of us are headin there for dinner and then headin to downtown Minneapolis to see Claret play.  We are beyond excited for our all you can eat pizza extravaganza!  If you haven’t experience this I strong recommend it!

Christmas spirit

Its almost Christmas again! Time has just flown by… no shopping done… my cards are not even sent out! Ahhh so much to do so little time!  I was able to get my Christmas Tree up and decorated though, one thing I’m able to cross off my list, oh yeah and a white christmas too, looks like we’ll have that!  It was alot of fun to see my Grandma over Thanksgiving she was visiting from Indiana, wish she could have stayed for Christmas but she is a busy little lady!  Hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday this year, and remember that it’s not all about what you recieve. The Holidays are a time to think of everyone here and gone, and give thanks!

Edgar Sawtelle.

I moved to MN about 2 years ago. We live in a small town about a hr outside the twin cities. Well there is nothing to do here, bored out of my mind most of the time. I mean we do have the MOA (Mall Of America) But you go there a couple of times and ehh not so exciting, Its just like going to a mall that never ends. Anyway, like I was saying I wanted to start reading so that I could get lost in something other then my day to day life. So I went to Target and picked up a book called Edgar Sawtelle. Didn’t know exactly what it was about..(I don’t read the back of the book) I figure that it makes it so I have to pay attention and not assume what is going to happen next. With out giving to much away it’s about the relationships between dogs and their boy, and the loyalty they give to one another. The author is amazing at describing the dogs movements and their mannerisms, if you ever had a dog you can just picture it so clearly with his words. It keeps you engaged though out the entire book. The ending kinda threw me off a little, I mean I understand why the autor chose to end that way… to have a powerful effect then just “they all lived happily ever after”. If you ever have the opportunity to pick this one up, I recommend that you do.
