Lindsay Lohan
So we all know Lindsay Lohan is a crazy girl. I remeber when she was cute and innocent acting in Disney movies (The Parent Trap was adorable)! Well now she is so messed no one wants to work with her! She has completely screwed up her acting career! I remember hearing that Jane Fonda had to yell at her during the making of Georgia Rules. It ’s sad because I think she was a great acctress before she got so messed up, no one can take her serious as an actress now!
Anyways, why I decided to write about Miss Lindsay Lohan is because I have heard that she really wants a cameo apperance in the next Twilght movie! HAHA! Can you imagine that?!? Here you are watching this amazing movie all into the action then Lyndsay Lohan stumples in! Thank goodness the makers and directors are saying no way to that idea! That would be a great way to ruin the Twilight Saga! I can’t wait for the next movie and I’m really glad Lyndsay Lohan will not be a part of it!
Advent Vespers
For 5 years, i have been involved in Advent Vespers at Augsburg College. Advent Vespers celebrates the beginning of the Christmas season with traditional and contemporary hymns, anthems, and carols. Entertaining an audience of nearly 8,000 annually, the Augsburg College Advent Vespers celebration is one of the largest holiday music events in the Twin Cities. Held in the beautifully renovated Central Lutheran Church in downtown Minneapolis, Augsburg College’s celebration of the Advent/Christmas season combines over 300 participants; choirs, instrumentalists, readers, and a full liturgical party. The services highlight the majesty of the space at Central Lutheran Church. Follow the drama of the processions and capture the splendor of the sounds from the massed choirs scattered throughout the sanctuary.
The concerts help get you into the Holiday spirit. Now as a choir member it takes a lot out of you, haveing two concerts on friday, and two concerts on saturday. You are exhausted by the end, but filled with lots of joy as people tell you how marvelous the concert was. If you have never attended a service yet, I recommend catching on next year, you will not be disappointed.
Christmas spirit
Its almost Christmas again! Time has just flown by… no shopping done… my cards are not even sent out! Ahhh so much to do so little time! I was able to get my Christmas Tree up and decorated though, one thing I’m able to cross off my list, oh yeah and a white christmas too, looks like we’ll have that! It was alot of fun to see my Grandma over Thanksgiving she was visiting from Indiana, wish she could have stayed for Christmas but she is a busy little lady! Hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday this year, and remember that it’s not all about what you recieve. The Holidays are a time to think of everyone here and gone, and give thanks!
The Dark Knight
I’m so excited that the new Batman movie is out on dvd; I ran to target the day it came out to buy it. I got the one that came with the really cool dvd case; it’s the batman mask and it stands up! So now it’s right by my Iron Man case that is standing on my tv stand!
I think The Dark Knight is the best of all the Batman movies, not to mention Christain Bale is gorgeous! I wish Katie Holmes would have played Rachel, but it was good that all the other actors were the same. Heath Ledger was amazing! How he walked, talked, and even how he would lick his lips constantly was crazy! I really beleived he was a mad man! The only thing I didnt like about the movie was that they built up Harvy Dents charactor so much then he died at the end. I thought two face was the next bad guy but who knows, maybe he comes back to life or something?!?! Either way the movie was great, the specail effects and all the actors were wonderful!
Edgar Sawtelle.
I moved to MN about 2 years ago. We live in a small town about a hr outside the twin cities. Well there is nothing to do here, bored out of my mind most of the time. I mean we do have the MOA (Mall Of America) But you go there a couple of times and ehh not so exciting, Its just like going to a mall that never ends. Anyway, like I was saying I wanted to start reading so that I could get lost in something other then my day to day life. So I went to Target and picked up a book called Edgar Sawtelle. Didn’t know exactly what it was about..(I don’t read the back of the book) I figure that it makes it so I have to pay attention and not assume what is going to happen next. With out giving to much away it’s about the relationships between dogs and their boy, and the loyalty they give to one another. The author is amazing at describing the dogs movements and their mannerisms, if you ever had a dog you can just picture it so clearly with his words. It keeps you engaged though out the entire book. The ending kinda threw me off a little, I mean I understand why the autor chose to end that way… to have a powerful effect then just “they all lived happily ever after”. If you ever have the opportunity to pick this one up, I recommend that you do.
